One of the biggest investments you can ever make for a winter wardrobe is in a black (or brown) leather jacket. There are so many styles and each person certainly has their own personal preference when buying a leather jacket. If you are really wanting to go all out, get yourself a leather jacket from Italy. You honestly can’t go wrong. I bought my first leather jacket from there and it was SO incredibly worth the price. I didn’t even get one of the top tier jackets and it is holding up very well.
Here is a recommendation of one of the jackets I wanted SO BADLY but didn’t buy because it was a bit out of my price range. It is offered in a variety of colors.
WINTER SNOW BOOTS
How CUTE are these winter boots from Timberland? One of the key items for your winter capsule wardrobe are a good pair of fashionable snow boots. These winter white boots with fur trim will pair nicely with leggings and a winter white sweater, along with your winter coat. It’ll leave quite an impression on others and keep you looking nice while surviving the cold and snow!
IVORY WHITE SWEATER
To go with your fashionable snow boots and other winter pieces, you’ll need a nice white sweater to pair with several outfits in the winter. This is absolutely a piece worth investing in and should be a staple in your winter capsule wardrobe. The one I’ve recommended is a nice cable knit sweater from Banana Republic Outlets, and is SO warm and cozy. This is a MUST HAVE!
BLACK LEGGINGS
Black leggings are one of those pieces you SHOULD invest a decent amount of time and money in finding. I can’t live without having a go-to pair of black leggings. You can wear these with sweaters, boots, nice jackets, you can wear them just about anywhere for any occasion! These leggings from Athleta give you a great pair without having the look too much of an athletic pair of leggings. SO worth the investment in taking time to find a pair you love and can call your own!
LIGHT BLUE DENIM
For denim in the winter this year (2023), get yourself a couple styles of lighter blue denim. Having a couple black dresses to go to in the winter is essential for dressing in effortless style. These are great for a nicer outfit or a night out! While it is so worth investing in, I wouldn’t recommend spending a fortune on a black dress. There are plenty that are very affordable and still have high quality. Get yourself a short sleeve and a long sleeve one!
BLACK FLEECE TIGHTS
Another essential wardrobe piece to have in your winter capsule wardrobe is a pair of fleece lined tights to wear with dresses and skirts. These are something you can also find for an affordable price to add to your wardrobe, and don’t need to invest a ton of time or money in finding them. They are SO SOFT on the inside and will keep you super warm.
SIMPLE CASHMERE SCARF
What would a winter capsule wardrobe be without a cashmere like scarf in your closet? This will keep you extra warm and stylish in the winter and is SO comfy and cozy. This can also be found on Amazon and won’t break the bank!
GOLD HOOP EARRINGS
Always have a good pair of gold hoop earrings around for accessories in the winter! Since winter doesn’t really give you a lot of opportunity to wear necklaces or other jewelry, earrings are a great way to add style to any winter look and elevate your own unique style.

Of course, finally, a cute winter hat is a MUST to go with every outfit in the winter. You won’t want to be caught without one in the snow!
