TAMPA FLORIDA BEACHES
1. Best Beach for Fishing and Trails: Ben T Davis Beach
The closest beach to Downtown Tampa is Ben T Davis Beach, located off Courtney Campbell Causeway. This beach is best for fishing, walking trails, and sunset or water views of the bay. If you’re looking for a nice spot to relax but don’t want to travel far, this is a great spot to do just that!
Parking: $1 First Hours, $12 Daily Max
2. Clearwater Beach
Clearwater Beach is a must visit and can be a vacation entirely on its own! This beach is much more tourist friendly complete with so many things to do, great restaurants, and several resorts to stay at. 3. Indian Rocks Beach
Not far from Clearwater Beach is Indian Rocks Beach. This is such a great quieter beach spot to visit, and is super great for a sunset! This is my personal fave, and I always prefer this over any others. There are many restaurants within walking distance from the beach and it’s parking areas.

4. Best Beach for Seashells: Pass a Grille Beach
Looking for a beach for the best sea shells? Make the drive down to St. Petersburg to visit Pass a Grille Beach! This beach is great if you are looking for unique larger shells or sand dollars to take home as souvenirs. Bring some shoes for this beach, as it is pretty shelly and not as fun in some spots for bare feet. There is a ton of parking and space to sit out and tan, and is a great beach to visit!

5. Best Sunset Beach: Honeymoon Island/Dunedin Beach
Honeymoon Island State Park is a great beach to visit if you’re looking for a nice relaxing day at the beach, and for a family friendly beach or romantic getaway. The park costs $4 for individuals and $8 for groups for the day. Keep your receipt, and you can leave and come back as needed within the day! Great relaxing beach for sunsets, absolutely recommend!

6. St. Pete Beach
Looking for another great tourist friendly beach spot? St. Pete Beach is another great option to visit if you are looking for close by restaurants and other things to do. This is a great place if you’re looking for excursions to do while at the beach. For locals, this is a great spot to visit for a beach day!

7. Madeira Beach
Madeira Beach is another great beach option located nearby St. Pete Beach. This is a much quieter beach with a nice beachfront restaurant offering food and drinks and great music!

8. Treasure Island
Treasure Island is another beach option if you are looking in the St. Petersburg area south of Clearwater beach! Plenty of things to do in this area, but another great beach spot to visit closely if others are busy. This is another beach spot with several restaurants and local shops within walking distance from the beach.

9. Sunset Beach
Sunset Beach is another option in the St. Petersburg area as well to catch a great view of the sunset. There is also a dog friendly beach here if you are looking for a place you can take your dog! There is a great seafood restaurant closely called Caddy’s as well.
